C. Angela Bontempo

Stategic Business Relations

Prior to joining Executive Dimensions, C. Angela Bontempo served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Saint Vincent Health System, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Saint Vincent Health System is the parent corporation for Saint Vincent Health Center and related health-care organizations for both non-for profit and for-profit companies.

During the past 34 years, Ms. Bontempo has served in top management positions in several hospitals in upstate New York State and also served as President and CEO of Bryant & Stratton System of Colleges in 1999 through 2001. From 1994 to 1998, she was Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. She was the President & CEO of Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, New York from 1986 to 1993 and served as President & CEO of Saint Mary’s Hospital in Troy from 1981 to 1986.

Angela has been active in community and professional organizations, has served on a number of boards, has held a number of academic appointments and has received numerous awards including honorary doctorates from both Canisius College and Niagara University. A frequent speaker in healthcare, Angela has published articles in journals and chapters in healthcare books. Angela was a member of the board and its vice-chair of Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership until late 2010.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and was elected to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Catholic Health Association where she held office of the chair. She was a member of the Hospital and Health System Association of Pennsylvania Board and its Executive Committee. Angela is a member of the M&T Bank Corporation Board where she serves as the chair of the Audit & Risk and Examining Committees of the Holding Company and the Bank. Angela also serves on the Financial Council for the Diocese of Erie. She serves on the board of the Ciminelli Development Corporation and is a consultant to Ciminelli Properties, LLC of Buffalo, New York. She is a healthcare consultant to Enterprise Analysis Corporation of Connecticut and to Executive Dimensions of Buffalo.

She is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, with degrees in education and theology, holds a nursing degree from Maria College in Albany and masters in microbiology. She worked as a teacher and as a nurse before returning to school to earn a master’s degree in hospital administration from St. Louis University. She also has received advanced certification in Healthcare Financial Management from Yale University.

Angela has been recognized by several organizations for her leadership and management, including such organizations as Community Advisory Council of the State University of New York at Buffalo; The New York Chapter of the National Conference of Christians and Jews and the Catalyst, and organization for the promotion of women in leadership roles and on boards of directors of Fortune 1000 companies.

Sallie A. McGuire

Director of Client Relations

Sallie has nineteen years of human resources experience in manufacturing and health care, both domestically and internationally. She also has a keen interest in working in the not-for-profit sector. Her areas of expertise include recruitment and retention, employee relations, organizational development, management development, team building, and coaching. Sallie's focus on her client’s bottom line which will result in reduced operating costs, reduced employee turnover, and a more satisfied and productive workforce. She holds a BA in Psychology from the State University College of New York at Buffalo. She received her certification in Long-Term Care Administration and Master’s of Science Degree in Health Services Administration from D'Youville College. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management: Local, National and Global Chapters and an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Local and National Chapters.
